Requirements

  • Server software: Paper or Folia
  • Minecraft version: 26.1.2 or newer
  • Java: JDK 25 or newer
Ember is Folia-safe. The same jar runs on either Paper or Folia with no configuration changes.

Install

Download the jar

Grab the latest ember-<version>.jar from GitHub Releases. Each release also publishes a .sha256 checksum if you want to verify the download.

Drop it in `plugins/`

Move the jar into your server’s plugins/ directory.

Restart your server

Ember loads at startup. A restart is the cleanest way to get it running.

Verify

From the server console (or as an operator in-game), run:
/ember version
You should see the running version printed back.
